Snowshoe Tours:

This year Snowy Range Ski Area is partnering with local Professional Nordic Guides from “Doin’ It Outside!”, who will be  providing  guide services on the Snowy Range nordic ski and snowshoe trails.

The tours are designated as entry to medium level adventures based on the groups experience. On your tour you will learn how to use your equipment, local tree identification, we will discuss current natural issues impacting the Snowy Range Forests, and a good history and orientation with the ski trail systems and the ski area itself.

Participants are required to provide their own suitable winter clothing and small day pack with additional provisions to maintain personal comfort levels during the activities.

Saturday and Sunday Group Tours:

On Saturday’s at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm and Sunday at 1pm, the Snowy Range Snowshoe tours are open to anyone, with rental shoes and poles available in the Right Stuff Ski Shop. Group Tours are limited to 10 guests. To sign up, Please call our Information Desk at 307-745-5750 ext 21, to reserve your spot.

Group Snowshoe Tour Prices:

$20 per person / $18 per person for groups of four or more with advance reservation.
Children 12 and under – $12 / per child with accompanying parent or legal guardian.

Snowshoe Rental Prices:

Rentals include snowshoes and poles
$10 – per person

Nordic Rental Prices:

Cross Country skis- $15
Telemark Demo Skis- $35

Private Tours:

For those looking for some solitude and something different from the group tours, Doin’ It Outside! offers private snowshoe tours Monday through Friday with the choice of two hour and four hour tours in the National Forest surrounding Snowy Range Ski Area; or if it is more convenient, Doin’ It Outside! can arrange for a two hour private snowshoe tour on Sunday mornings at 10:00. Private tours originate and end at Snowy Range Ski Area and are matched for your distinct abilities. For your two hour tour we provide a light snack, water, and a hot beverage; whereas on our four hour tours we provide a light trail lunch, snacks,  water, and a hot beverage.
 

2 Hour Tour:

$35 per person / $30 per person with 4 or more guests at time of reservation.
Children 12 and under – $20 / per Child with accompanying adult or legal guardian. (2 hour tour only)

4 Hour Tour:

$55 per person / $45 per person with 4 or more guests at time of reservation.
Private tours limited to 5 guests.

To better accommodate you on your private tour, we do ask that you make your weekday reservations 48 hours prior to our departure date and time. Our Sunday two hour private tours require only a 24 hour pre-registration.

Reservations, Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds:

 
All tours must be paid for in full at time of reservation. We require a 48 hour time period prior to the date and time of reserved tour for cancellations and refunds. No refunds are available within the 48 hour period prior to the date and time of the reserved tour.  Snowy Range Ski Area and Doin’ It Outside, LLC reserve the right to cancel any tour without prior notice due to inclement weather and /or hazardous snow conditions.

Full Hunger Moon, Full Moon Snowshoe Event 6pm-10pm:


February’s heavy snows often interfered with hunting, making it the full hunger moon. Come satisfy your hunger with a chili dinner served by the Snowy Range Youth Ski Club.

A two-mile, groomed snowshoe & cross-country ski course, set with glow sticks will be open from 6pm to 10pm. Additional glow sticks will be available for purchase.

Coffee & Hot Cocoa Will Be Provided
